Edward H. Lynch

The rich history of Lynch & Lynch CPAs began in 1956 with Edward H. Lynch, a well-known and respected man in the Georgetown, Kentucky community. Mr. Lynch was a professional in every sense of the word; he possessed the knowledge to assist his clients with their accounting needs and had the personality and demeanor that drew people to him. He commented that working with clients and the challenges of solving their problems made his job each day a great reward.

Mr. Lynch attended Berea College and Columbia University; he graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1948. He also attended the Jefferson School of Law. This education laid the foundation for his CPA practice and helped to build his practice into a practical resource for those seeking accounting help. Mr. Lynch earned the trust of countless clients and colleagues during his tenure and was regarded with tremendous respect in the community.

Throughout his many years of serving the Georgetown residents with their accounting issues, Mr. Lynch also served his community as a member of Rotary Club for 55 years and Past President. He served on the Whitaker Bank Board of Directors as Emeritus Director and a Past Director. He served as a member of the Georgetown School Board and sat on numerous charity boards as finance officer and volunteer. Mr. Lynch was also member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Kentucky Society of CPAs.

Mr. Lynch and his wife, Marian Paula James Lynch, were members of Saint John Catholic Church and for many years Mr. Lynch was responsible for its financial leadership.

Sadly, Mr. Lynch passed away in July of 2010, but his legacy continues through his family and his practice. His daughter-in-law, Missie now manages Lynch & Lynch CPAs using the same guidelines and principals she learned from her beloved teacher.
